Pellet victims should not feel alone: Aasiya Andrabi

Srinagar, January 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Chairperson, Syed Aasiya Andrabi has said that the history of Jammu and Kashmir is replete with heart wrenching stories of massacres.

Aasiya Andrabi, in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Sopore, Handwara, Kupwara, Gawkadal and other numerous massacres perpetrated by Indian forces in Kashmir are the worst crimes ever committed against the humanity.”

“It is due to the sacrifices of the people that the Kashmir dispute is alive and is forcing the world to pay attention to it and pressurize New Delhi to resolve it by giving people of Kashmir their right to self-determination,” she added. She reiterated that the mission of these martyrs would be carried forward despite odds and hardships.

“Those who lost their vision partially or completely during the ongoing uprising are a source of inspiration for resistance to all of us. These pellet victims should not feel alone, as we all stand by them and will continue to stand by them for the rest of their lives,” she added.

Meanwhile, APHC leader Bilal Sidiqee in a statement paid rich tributes to the victims of Kupwara massacre on their 23rd anniversary. “We can never ever forget these innocent victims who were killed by a country that claims to be the largest democracy of the world,” he added.
